Welcome to Birch House, a beautiful 3-storey family holiday home with a hot-tub set in a pretty village less than 10 miles from central York. With its generous open-plan living areas, large garden and little extra touches, this is the perfect luxury property for those special get-togethers with family and friends. There's a gorgeous little village pub just a stroll away serving excellent pub grub, what more could you ask for!
Recently refurbished throughout, Birch House is a handsome 4-bedroom holiday home that's just made for luxury family holidays to North Yorkshire. With a contemporary elegant style throughout, every modern convenience has been thought of, allowing you to just relax and enjoy your holiday.
At the heart of the home is the large open-plan living area set to the rear of the house. This bright and light-filled space is home to an informal lounge, kitchen and dining area. In the lounge you'll find a super-sized L-shaped sofa with room for the whole family. Settle down and enjoy a board game together or catch a movie on the 40inch SMART TV with Netflix. A DVD player is also available if you want to bring your own favourites.
It's the perfect family-friendly space to unwind and recharge. For those who like a little me-time there's a cosy little snug area leading off from the lounge, squirrel yourself away in here with a cuppa and one of the glossy magazines you'll find in the house. There's also a separate study if you need to catch up on some work - also good if you have teenagers in tow studying for exams!
At the other end of this room is the kitchen and dining area. The contemporary kitchen has every mod con including an American-style fridge-freezer, dishwasher, range cooker, wine cooler and 'Little Butler' filtered boiling water tap. The kitchen looks out onto the open-plan space so you can cook and entertain without feeling left out. A breakfast bar and stools offer just the spot to enjoy a pre-dinner glass of bubbly.
The dining table seats 8 and sits directly in front of large bi-folding doors. In the summer months its such a delight to throw open the doors and enjoy the sights and sounds of the garden whilst you dine. The Bluetooth soundbar provides your choice of back ground music.
There's also a further utility room housing a washing machine / dryer and under-mounted sink with pull out spray taps - very useful for muddy boots if you've enjoyed a walk in the Hambleton Hills. This room sits next to the handy downstairs loo.
To the front of the house is the formal sitting room. A gorgeous room featuring a cosy wood-burner set within a stone hearth. When the kids have gone to bed catch up by the fire over a bottle of something nice. There's an additional 49inch TV in here if you fancy chilling in your PJs with a movie.
All of the bedrooms in Birch House are set upstairs, 3 on the first floor and the Master is on the second floor. The spacious Master bedroom is set in the eaves of the house and features a super-king size bed it is the perfect place to retreat to each evening. Three large skylight windows offer far reaching views across the North Yorkshire countryside. There's a coffee machine, water, TV and lovely armchair so it is well set up for daytime respite too! The shower room is also located on this floor, tiled in grey slate and beige tones it has a modern feel and features a rainfall shower and vanity unit with illuminated mirror.
Bedrooms 2 & 3 are on the first floor and both have zip & link beds which can be configured as super-kings or two full size singles as preferred. Please note they will be configured as standard as one super-king and one twin room, unless you specify otherwise. Bedroom 4 s the last room bedroom on this floor and features a double bed with striking tall headboard.
The stunning family bathroom sits next to bedroom 4 on the first floor. Boasting a fabulous roll top bath and large monsoon walk-in shower and double basins nestled on an oak washstand, this bathroom is just gorgeous. Enjoy a long relaxing soak in the tub with a glass of something special during your stay and make the most of the luxury Noble Isle toiletries.
There is lots to love outside this large luxury holiday home too. To the rear is a large lawned garden complete with a stone terrace for al fresco dining. Elegant outdoor furniture is provided for those balmy sundowners, and a hammock provides a comfortable spot for an afternoon snooze. There's also a fabulous hot tub in the secluded courtyard to the side of the house which is West facing making the most of the afternoon and evening sunshine.
